Don Williams Trailhead is at mile marker
44.8 on the Silver Comet Trail, has paved
parking, and a porta-toilet.
This quiet section of the Silver Comet
Trail is scenic. Heading east it travels
through several miles of beautiful farmland.
The trail then travels over 2.5 miles alongside
Hwy-278. The section alongside Hwy-278 leaves
the original rail bed, and is hilly.
Heading west, the trail travels a few miles
to the Grady Rd Trailhead. You can use this
parking lot, if the Don Williams Trailhead
is full. The trail temporarily stops at
Grady Rd due to Hwy-27/Hwy-278 bypass construction.
