Wheelchair Accessibility = Good for the Silver Comet, but there's a steep hill leading down to Wildhorse Creek Trail.

The Carter Road Trailhead is at mile marker 8.6 on the Silver Comet Trail. It is located in Powder Springs and has direct access to Wildhorse Creek Trail. The shared parking lot is paved but there are no restrooms or water.

Wildhorse Creek Trail is a 1.5-mile paved spur that starts at the Silver Comet/Carter Road parking lot and ends at Wildhorse Creek Park, Ron Anderson Recreation Center, and Seven Springs Water Park. This wooded trail runs along Wildhorse and Noses Creek and has an observation tower overlooking wetlands. Even though it is called Wild Horse Creek Trail, horses are not allowed on the trail. The path can flood, and parts of the trail are isolated so be careful.
