The Silver Comet Linear Park Trailhead is located at Richard D. Sailors Parkway at mile marker 9.5 on the Silver Comet Trail. The parking lot is paved and has nice restrooms, water fountains, a covered picnic table, 2 playgrounds, basketball courts, and a circuit exercise area. It also has easy access to fast food using Lindley Road. There's a pathway on the opposite side of the trail from the parking lot that connects the Silver Comet Trail to Lindley Road and downtown Powder Springs is nearby.
Powder Springs Shopping Center is across the street from the trailhead. There's plenty of shopping including gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, and banks.
